Cross-save coming in Genshin Impact 2.0

Genshin Impact 2.0 Release Date

In a new posting on Twitter, MiHoYo has teased a desperately needed new feature coming in Genshin Impact 2.0. So if you’ve been waiting on cross-save support, you’re getting great news in the new patch. Now, you will be able to move your game progress from one version of the game to a new platform. This is great for those who may have gotten into the game on mobile, and now want to move to PC or console for a more sit-down experience.

“Cross-save between mobile, PC, and PlayStation will be introduced in version 2.0 It will also be present when Genshin comes to Switch and allow for hoyolab on consoles,” the update said. Check out the tweet revealing the feature below.

This has been something the community has asked for since the game launched. With so many supported platforms, the desire to migrate saves increases. Having the option to jump to a different version for one reason or another is a great QoL boon. But that’s not all.

The new patch also adds a new region to explore. Entitled “The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia” we’re getting another new region, joining the others from previous updates. The new region is called Inazuma and features tons of new Electro enemies and bosses.

The character roster, along with the possible banner drops, are being updated too. Players are getting three new main characters in Ayaka, Yoimiya, and Sayu. Each of these offers new crafting potential and missions to undertake. And of course, they work well in the new lightning-infested region.

You can check out the trailer for the update below, which launches in Genshin Impact on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC and iOS from July 21, 2021.
