Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen launches Switch pre-orders with new trailer

Netflix announces a new anime based on Dragon’s Dogma

It’s just great news everyday now for Capcom and one of their fan-favorite RPG franchises, Dragon’s Dogma. First, it was announced that Netflix was working with Sublimation to bring an anime adaptation of the games to life, and now Switch fans have a new trailer for the port of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen to fawn over. This new trailer came on the same day that Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen pre-orders go live on the Nintendo eShop.

The Switch port of the expansion to the original game will include a completely reworked UI and optimized graphics and performance for the portable console. It’s a pretty big step up from the original 2012 release. Switch gamers have been getting great treatment these last few months with all of the remasters, new games and ports which have helped make the console a great success for old Ninty. Capcom is pretty excited about this particular Switch release as well, saying:

The open-world action series boasting over 4.4 million sales makes its triumphant return, now on the Nintendo Switch! The Nintendo Switch lets you enjoy the odyssey of this vibrant and stunning world in your living room or on the go!

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen takes place in the mysterious land of Gransys, and has players taking on increasingly tough monsters with a huge array of skills and gameplay mechanics.  The game has a deep and engrossing story made all the richer by the combination of the Vocations system and the complex Pawns mechanics which allow players to create and interact with an intelligent and living party of adventurers.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will be launching for the Nintendo Switch on April 23. You can pre-order it, starting today, from the eShop; check out the new trailer showing off the game down below:
