Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 announces release date and beta schedule

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 finally has a release date. Fans are now celebrating since the game was initially delayed earlier this year.

Along with all these other details, the company also announced the two beta periods that will run up until the launch of the game in January.

The first beta is all about balancing and testing the multiplayer portion of the RTS. The full roster of all 12 factions will be unlocked, alongside multiple game modes to test your mettle in. There’s 1v1 and 2v2 ladder systems included in this beta, as well as a one player skirmish against AI opponents. This first beta period is scheduled for early December, and will last for one week.

The second beta will bring forward everything from the first beta-including bug fixes and such, while  also having a new focus. The new centerpiece will be the Campaign Prologue – acting as a tutorial and story set up – as well as introducing the first two Sectors of the Campaign. These Sectors are essentially chapters and include various stories and conflicts which will tease other mechanics from the main game. The empire management, ship-building and other logistics will be part of this period of the beta as well. Beta 2 will begin in January and run up to the launch of the game on the 24th.

Tindalos Interactive is working hard to polish the game leading up to these beta periods. And will continue applying polish and bug fixes throughout the beta periods.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 releases 24th January 2019 on PC. Beta 1 begins early December, and is available to all Steam pre-orders. You can pre-order the game on Steam now to get access to both of the betas as well as a 10% discount. Focus Home Interactive also announced that owners of the original Battlefleet Gothic: Armada will receive a 25% discount.

All in all, RTS and Warhammer 40K fans look like they have a lot to look forward to in 2019.
