Babylon’s Fall debuts gameplay in brand new trailer

PlatinumGames & Square Enix have just dropped some anticipated news during Sony’s State of Play today.  As part of the glut of new game announcements, ports and other stuff announced during the event today, we go some cool new gameplay for some projects. One particular game was Babylon’s Fall, a new project from the legendary duo of PlatinumGames & Square Enix. the game was announced first at last E3, but we haven’t seen much of it until now.

PlatinumGames were already working on a new remaster bundle of two classic games. The company announced a new bundle of remasters for Vanquish and Bayonetta this week. And speaking of Bayonetta, Square Enix has just revealed the first real gameplay for their newest game, basically a cross between Bayonetta and Dark Souls.

Square also revealed some more news about the upcoming port of Final Fantasy VII Remake, namely that it will be exclusive to the PS4 for some time.

The spooky locales, showing some form of haunting ruins, is a backdrop for waht essentially a hunt to kill some huge giants. The boss battles will be epic and highly tactical. The player will need to use a combination of special abilities and their own wits to overcome each fight.

The last collaboration between Square Enix and Platinum resulted in the wonderful NieR: Automata, so this will very likely be incredible. We don’t know when the new game will launch, but it could come as early as mid-2020. Babylon’s Fall will release on the PlayStation 4 and PC.
