Somatic Fibers and the Lua Lens in Warframe are a big part of farming Focus points. Focus is used to power the Amps and Arcanes that your Operator uses. These are pretty important for more difficult fights, so building up your Focus is a huge part of the game. Here are how you can get one of the Lenses which are vital to getting Focus to use your abilities. The Lua Lens needs you to gather Somatic Fibers to craft it. Here’s how to get these items and resources.
How To Get Somatic Fibers
You can get Somatic Fibers by playing the Disruption node on Lua. These resources have a rough 15% chance to drop on this node from enemies and resource nodes. You will get the best chance from a handful of different enemies in this mission. Here are the monsters to look for:
- Demolisher Anti Moas
- Hyenas
- Machinists
- Bursas
The way these missions work is that you have to fight your way around various Conduits in the level. These enemies will spawn around these nodes. Somatic Fibers can drop from these enemies and will be increased by any abilities that increase drops. To help speed up farming, bring a Hydroid with Pilfering Swarm or Nekros with Desecrate, or another similar build that helps increase item drop rates and resource drops. The Smeeta Kavat’s double pickup/affinity Charm buff will also double these drops too.
Conduits in Disruption missions have random effects, one can be Pack Hunter, and it’s dangerous. Not only is there a debuff applied to players, but there’s a chance that it can spawn Manics on some nodes. Be very careful if you spot these minions, as they can be incredibly dangerous.
How To Get The Lua Lens
The Lua Lens also comes from the Disruption node on Lua. It’s a fair bit harder to get, as it’s a reward that’s exclusive to C rotations of the map. You need to also get kind of lucky, as it’s only a 10% drop chance.
Now add to that the fact that you need to build the full Lua Lens in the Foundry. When you build it, you need 1 Eidolon Lens and 5 Somatic Fibers along with 25,000 Credits to make the thing. Once you have the resources and start the build, it will take 24 hours to complete.
The Lua Lens and other Lenses can be used for Focus farming. These Lenses can be attached to weapons and take a certain percentage of the Affinity from the kills and loot and convert it into Focus. ints, The Lua Lens will convert 3.25% of excess Affinity into Focus points.
