Microsoft is bringing one particularly bloody new addition to their Xbox Game Pass service in February.
2013’s Tomb Raider is the gritty and bloody origin story of the legendary tomb raider, Lara Croft. Developer Crystal Dynamics really brought out a quality experience with it, putting out one of the better games in the history of the franchise. The game featured difficult and deadly puzzles interspersed with an extremely heavy and conflicted narrative. Lara didn’t become and invincible badass overnight, and this 2013 title showed that process in nightmarish detail.
For the uninitiated, the Definitive Edition of the game includes bonus content and combines all of the downloadable content from the Xbox 360 version. This makes it the best way to enjoy the origin story for one of gaming’s most iconic characters. And if you need more convincing, check out the original launch trailer for the Definitive Edition down below.
Xbox Game Pass grants gamers access to a massive library of games, one that’s ever-expanding too, all for one low price. It’s a great value to Xbox One owners in a variety of ways, simply for the sheer volume of games which can be played with the service. And Microsoft has even expanded it to include PC titles as well on Windows 10.
