Telltale Games: Summer 2017 Update Announces Batman, Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us

Batman-Telltale1

Episodic storytellers Telltale Games have announced a trio of new seasons for some old games. More Batman, more The Walking Dead, and more The Wolf Among Us are in the pipeline. Batman’s second season will start in August while the others are expected in 2018.

Season four of The Walking Dead series will be the last season for the flagship franchise. Clementine will return as the primary playable character, and voice actor Melissa Hutchison will return to reprise her role as Clementine.

Batman: The Enemy Within – The Telltale Series, as it’s called, is a five-part episodic series starting on August 8th. Folks who played the first season will get to have their decisions carry over to the second. As for what it’s about, Telltale say:

“In this latest chapter, both Bruce Wayne and Batman will be forced into precarious new roles. The Riddler has returned to terrorize Gotham City, but his gruesome puzzles merely foreshadow an even greater crisis. With the arrival of a ruthless federal agent and the return of a still nascent Joker, Batman must navigate uneasy alliances while Bruce Wayne undertakes a perilous series of deceptions. Which of Batman’s new allies will you choose to trust? And how deep into the darkness will you let Bruce descend?”

The next part of Telltale’s Batman series will likely see references to Lady Arkham and other previous villains in it’s next installment.

The next installment of Wolf Among Us will be coming out sometime in the second half of 2018. Little is known beyond that detail, the second season remains untitled and plot details are also not known.

“We have been asked over and over again for some insight into the mystery at the end of the finale for [The Wolf Among Us],” Stauffer wrote. “Something I’ve always wanted to admit is that while we do have a clear answer to who was who at the end of that story… we had also agreed to keep it a mystery for the fans to ponder on their own. Definitely fun to see all of the theories pour out, and exciting to pay off our neon-noir story with a femme fatale twist.”

Most of these games will release on all major platforms. PC, mobile and console users will get to continue
