As an open-ended game, Battletech is all about player choice, and making money. As a mercenary in the Battletech world, you’ll be the grunt doing all the jobs no one else wants. Escort missions, salvaging, theft and more are all on the table as potential job offers. And you’ve gotta take as many as you can handle if you want the best gear.
The game itself is split between two different gameplay types. On one end are the tactical missions and combat that you undertake as a merc company. The other side is the deep simulation of managing your company as a whole. And you’ll be dealing with everything from repairs and upgrades to different random events along the way.
Jordan Weisman (creator of BattleTech), Mitch Gitelman (Studio Manager) and Mike McCain (Game Director) walk through everything in this new video. And judging from what we see here, I’m pretty excited.
Battletech is hitting the PC in April.
