Starlink: Battle for Atlas introduces Fox McCloud and Mason Rana

Starlink: Battle for Atlas Fox McCloud and Mason Rana

Ubisoft has released some new trailers for Starlink: Battle for Atlas that shows off some iconic characters that are joining the roster. Starlink: Battle for Atlas is an upcoming action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Toronto and published by Ubisoft. The game focuses primarily on an amiibo-like system wherein gameplay rewards are given to players for inputting characters in their games via toys. In Starlink, the toys are used to customise your starship in-game when you place them on a custom controller mount that is sold with the game.

The starship customization and replayability potential is interesting, let’s just hope it doesn’t fall into the same trap as Disney: Infinity. Players can add a huge number of bits and bobs to their ships, so if you want to include a bunch of wings and just one gun, you can do that if you wish. The game world is also apparently really big, according to Ubisoft statements in the press,  the game is big enough to lose yourself in, but not too big to diminish the experience.

In terms of the trailers, Ubisoft released two new trailers for the game, each one putting the spotlight on a specific character. The first trailer focuses on Mason Rana, piloting the ship Zenith, which holds a powerful Orbital Strike ability. The second trailer focuses on Nintendo’s Fox McCloud and his Arwing craft.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas releases on October 16th for PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. You can check out both new trailers for the game down below.
