Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Honey Tree Spawn Locations

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Honey Tree Spawn Locations

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl add a bunch of classic things to their 3D worlds, offering new and old players secrets to find. One of many hidden elements of the gameplay is Honey Trees in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. These special trees can be a source of rare encounters, so players tend to farm them. Here’s what you need to know about these golden trees.

Honey Trees work by allowing the player to slather Honey on them, then giving a random spawn in return. There are a few things to remember about this. One thing is that it takes at least six hours for the spawn to happen. You can’t skip the timer with the date change trick either. If you change the date, in-game timers are paused.

There are a group of Pokémon encounters that can only happen with Honey Trees. Each tree has a set of rare and normal encounters associated with it. Some also have a specific location that can only spawn a certain monster. Here’s the listing of how hard it is to find these rare spawns at Honey Trees.

  • Heracross: Rare encounter
  • Aipom: Normal and rare encounter
  • Munchlax: Only the Munchlax tree
  • Wurmple: Standard and rare encounters
  • Silcoon: Standard encounters, only in Brilliant Diamond
  • Cascoon: Standard encounters, only in Shining Pearl
  • Combee: Standard and rare encounters
  • Cherubi: Standard and rare encounters
  • Burmy:  Standard and rare encounters
