Upgrade benches have a cost associated with upgrading each tier of weapon. You need to spend 200 Gold to upgrade Common weapons into Uncommon ones. Each tier beyond that costs an additonal 100 Gold. So that means going from Rare to Epic will cost 400 Gold, for example. If you were crazy and wanted to jump from Common to Epic—that would cost 900 Gold.
All Upgrade Bench locations in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1
There are many of these benches found around the map. Basically, every other POI in the game has some amount of upgrade bench locations hidden within. Most of them are focused on the garages and body shops around the island. It makes sense that Epic would place them here as the Upgrade Bench locations are thematically fitting.
You can find each of the current Upgrade Bench locations in Fortnite in the map down below. We’ve also included a rundown of the general description of each location.
- Camp Cuddle Upgrade Bench: In an auto body shop west of Camp Cuddle.
- Chonker’s Speedway Upgrade Bench #1: In the garage on the north end of Chonker’s Speedway.
- Chonker’s Speedway Upgrade Bench #2: In the garage on the south end of Chonker’s Speedway.
- Condo Canyon Upgrade Bench: In the auto body shop north of Condo Canyon.
- Coney Crossroads Upgrade Bench: Next to the gas station on the east end of Coney Crossroads.
- Frosty Fields Upgrade Bench: In the auto body shop east of Frosty Fields.
- Greasy Grove Upgrade Bench: On the first floor of the beach house, west of Greasy Grove.
- Island Upgrade Bench: On the largest island to the east, inside of an outpost.
- Logjam Lumberyard Upgrade Bench: On the first floor of Logjam Lumberyard’s factor building.
- Loot Lake Upgrade Bench: Behind the gas station west of Loot Lake.
- Rocky Reels Upgrade Bench #1: Behind the gas station south of Rocky Reels.
- Rocky Reels Upgrade Bench #2: In the lone building on the northwest side of Rocky Reels.
- Sanctuary Upgrade Bench: Southwest of Sanctuary, inside the garage
- Sleepy Sound Upgrade Bench: In an auto body shop north of Sleepy Sound.
- The Daily Bugle Upgrade Bench: East of The Daily Bugle, inside of a garage.
- The Joneses Upgrade Bench: Northeast of The Joneses, inside of a garage.
- Turbine Upgrade Bench: On the snowy island to the southern edge of island, inside the power plant buildings.
- Washout Warf Upgrade Bench: North of Lumberyard, the bench is found nearby to a pile of wood.
