PlatinumGames teases major announcement for the end of the month

PlatinumGames

PlatinumGames is set to reveal a “major” announcement as early as February 27, 2020, according to the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu. The game company has been working hard on a variety of different projects this past year, with some quite serious hype drummed up for their upcoming games.

In terms of new games, PlatinumGames is still plugging away at Babylon’s Fall, and Nintendo Switch exclusive Bayonetta 3. These two games have fans fawning over the beautiful visuals and extremely fast-paced action, but that’s not all the company has in store. There are at least four more games in the works from the ironically quirky developer. The Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle also recently debuted this month, hyping up fans for the new sequel, and it looks like PlatinumGames is taking full advantage.

At least one of these games, The Wonderful 101: Remastered is actively being worked on after smashing through goals on KickStarter. The release is coming pretty soon to pretty much every major console, so Platinum is looking hard at trying to get the game in front of as many as possible.

And with all of this up in the air, it’s hard to say what this new announcement will be. There’s a chance that the reveal could fix a release date or window for any of the games listed above. It could also be related to future unannounced games or other projects.

With E3 2020 around the corner, there’s potential for some minor reveals there as well, although Platinum has not been confirmed as attending the event, so it could not happen there.
