Nvidia releases hotfix for crashes and flickering in some games

Nvidia GPU

A handful of games have been experiencing various issues with the recent major release of Nvidia GPU drivers. There’s now a hotfix out that should resolve these problems.

Some users reported that the recent Game Ready Driver 430.86 introduced some problems with various games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Grand Theft Auto 5. Namely users reported game crashes and flickering issues on some hardware, like Pascal GPUs. A BSOD error was also reported for the  ASUS GL703GS/Asus GL502VML series of notebooks when waking them from sleep or hibernation. All of these issues have now been rectified with this update.

And naturally, this is a cumulative update which also rolls together the Game Ready improvements from the most recent patch series, sans bugs of course. Those who want it can download this new hotfix from here.
