Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker shows off Barrier Battle Mode

Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker Barrier Battle

Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker has even more ninja-stuffed action gameplay that showcases another combat mode in the upcoming game. This time we get to see a uniquely shinobi twist on the classic “King of the Hill” variants in games.

Barrier Battle, as this new mode is called, involves teams vying for control of several capture points. The offensive team must unseal each of these points by spending time focusing chakra on top of them. This lack of mobility is a boon to defenders as they must stop the unsealing process. If the attackers manage to unlock all the seals, a boss battle becomes available. The mode then shifts to a new setup where attackers must kill said boss while defenders protect the boss itself. Said boss is pretty tough, and the fight takes place in cycles that mean the attackers must repeatedly lift seals to attack the boss and win.

Other modes in the game game include a classic CTF variant called Flag Battle and a team-based deathmatch equivalent. Players will also be able to customize their characters with various iconic moves and items from the source material. So if you wanted to fight with Hidan’s scythe while using the Sharingan, then this is the game for you.

The game launches into battle on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, it lands on August 30th in Japan, and the day after in North America. Check out that latest trailer down below.
