Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, the new RPG from a partnership between Funcom and and The Bearded Ladies, has a new teaser trailer announcing the release date of the game.
The game is an extremely unique take on the post-apocalyptic formula with a mixture of unique mutant types, like shotgun-toting pigs, and a new setting. And being that it’s an XCOM-like tactical RPG, there’s a deep layer of strategy to the game as well. The stylized presentation of the trailer should carry over to the main game as well, with plenty of absurd humor to go around.
And if you’re a fan of the source material in the pen-and-paper RPG, this is probably going to be the best version of that in a video game you’re going to get. There’s a focus on exploration, as much as there’s one on combat, that allows for lots of player choice in how to deal with certain challenges for example.
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden infects PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on December 4, 2018. The game is available for pre-order on the developer’s website and is available in a Standard Edition for $34.99 and a Deluxe Edition for $54.99.
