Sometimes, you just aren’t vibing with a name on a game or service anymore. You just want to be known by a new handle, and that’s OK. And that leads to a lot of people wanting to know how to change their display names and IDs. With so many players on apps like Roblox, that’s a pretty common question. Thankfully, the company behind the platform makes this very easy to do.
You first need to change your display name in Roblox by going to the main website and logging into your account. Once you have logged in, look in the top-right of the screen. This will show a dropdown that allows you to access various account options. Click the one that says Settings.
Once the page loads, you’re on the right track. Look under the Account Info section and look for Display Name. From this same page you can also change other options like username, password and two-factor authentication options. When you click Display Name, you will be greeted with a window to change your current name. You will then be asked to put in your password and the new name you wish to use on your account.
Keep in mind that you can only change your display name in Roblox once every seven days. This is done to prevent spamming issues, as well as stopping players from overloading database servers with updates.
