Capcom is really ramping up the Monster Hunter news this week, first it was the announcement of more details for the upcoming Monster Hunter film adaptation, and now it’s a new event and hunt coming to Monster Hunter World. In this case, the event is the newest Arch-Tempered monster heading for the lands surrounding Astera.
The next Arch-Tempered beast Monster Hunter World players will battle is Zorah Magdaros. The upcoming event brings a pair of new high-level armor sets for players to farm from the desiccated husks of defeated enemies. The Zorah Gamma set and Origin layered armor are the big reason to hunt this new super-tough quarry. The new event chain for this hunt is called The Undying Alpenglow, for those wondering.
To take down Arch-Tempered Zorah Magdaros, there’s a few things to keep in mind. For one, just like normal Zorah Magdaros, this beastie is immune to Fire damage of all kinds. Although he has a major weakness to Water and Dragon types, with a minor vulnerability to Ice and Thunder damage.
The Undying Alpenglow Event featuring the Arch-tempered Zorah Magdaros kicks off October 18 and run through November 1 on PS4 and Xbox One. The Autumn Harvest Event is also live, alongside the recent 5.10 title update to all platforms.
