Monster Hunter: World’s Final Fantasy XIV Crossover Behemoth update release date announced
We first heard about the plans to create special crossover content between Monster Hunter World and Final Fantasy XIV back in June. And since MHW is the best-selling game in the history of Capcom, there’s a lot of impetus to create compelling content for the video game. Well, it’s now been confirmed that the update which will add Behemoth to Monster Hunter World is slated to release in August 2018.
The announcement was made on the 100th episode of the MonHun Radio video cast, by Monster Hunter executive producer Ryozo Tsujimoto.
Who knows, maybe the release of this collab content will coincide with the release of the PC version of the game, also due out in the fall. And don’t worry, PS4 and Xbox One gamers can get their hands on this content upon release as well.
If you would like to know more about the development process behind this special content, check out an interview with several team members over at 4Gamer. The interview includes a lot of behind-the-scenes insights on the thought process that went into both this addon and Monster Hunter World as a whole. The subjects are also very candid about fan expectations and the challenge in living up to them, which judging by the critical and commercial success of the game, I think it’s safe to say that they succeeded fairly well. Check out our MHW review if you need more convincing of that.
