Monster Hunter: World hits 13 million sales, gives away special items

Monster Hunter World

Monster Hunter: World has been one of the biggest games of this console generation, pushing Capcom back into a new era. Capcom just recently announced that the newest entry in the venerated monster hunting saga has pushed more than 13 million units in sales. This makes it far and away the best-selling title in the company’s history.

And when combined with excellent video games like the remake of Resident Evil 2, 2019 could be their best year yet. We’ll have to wait and see what CapGOD has in store for us.

But Monster Hunter: World isn’t done grinding away your free time yet. Capcom is giving away fresh login bonuses in the game on all platforms that players can claim for some easy crafting and other fun. The login bonus will run every day from July 25th to August 29th, and offers plenty of goodies to get you ready for the release of the new expansion. 3x Heavy Armor Spheres, 3x Golden Wyvern Prints, 13x Silver Eggs, 13x Appreciation Tickets, and a Mighty Attack Jewel are all up for grabs. This takes care of a ton of farming for high-end rewards, so that’s cool.

Capcom also recently announced full DLSS support for the PC version of the game. This graphical enhancement should offer better performance on Nvidia hardware at resolutions in the 2K range and beyond. So if you fall into that category, why not give it a try?

And if you’re looking for something to do when you login, why not go hunting. Arch-tempered Kulve Taroth is currently ongoing in the Fury of El Dorado event quest. That will run until the end of next month, with other quests running in that same window. Capcom often rotates different event quests into and out of the game, offering a bit of a shakeup. Go here to see the running list.

At least that will give you something to farm while we wait for the expansion, Iceborne. If you haven’t heard about this you’re in for a treat. Iceborne pushes players into hunting entirely new beasts in the chilly Hoarfrost Reach, filled with new and old faces fans will love taking on. The new Master Rank quests also offer an entirely new level of challenge for veteran players.

Monster Hunter World is out now for Xbox One, PC and PS4.
