How to get mystery gifts in Pokémon Home

Pokémon Home

Back when Pokémon Home was first announced, gamers were a bit suspicious. The price seemed a bit outlandish, but it seems like gamers liked the idea anyway. The service is built around the idea of integrating all of the secondary management tools like Pokémon Bank into one app. This would allow multiple games to be linked together to support a wide array of rosters. You can connect it to your Pokémon Bank, Pokémon Go, Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee or Let’s Go Pikachu, and Pokémon Sword and Shield. Gamers will also be able to get some new features aside from storage and trading.

One of the new mechanics is mystery gifts in Pokémon Home, this is a special aspect of the mobile app, so you need to download that first. You will see the icon for mystery gifts in Pokémon Home at the bottom of the main screen. Click that button to open the window and see what gifts you have in storage. These mystery gifts are something you can turn in for Pokémon that you can use in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

There are a few ways players can use to claim these free gifts. By linking your Home account to the various games, especially mobile titles on Android and iOS, will allow players to find local events. These will be a major source of mystery gifts.

You can also use some special codes via a code redemption system to claim special gifts. This is something that The Pokémon Company has made extensive use of in the new Switch title, and we can expect more special giveaways within the Home app.

And as a special bonus for those who went ahead and grabbed the app on n iOS or Android can claim a free beast of their choice between Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. Of course, other players will be sending you mystery gifts in Pokémon Home as well.
