Journey To The Savage Planet revealed at The Game Awards

Journey To The Savage Planet

A new game from a skilled indie developer by the name of Journey To The Savage Planet has been revealed as part of The Game Awards pre-show. Developer Typhoon Studios brought a small teaser for their first game. Typhoon Studios was founded by a team created by Alex Hutchinson, who had been creative director for Far Cry 4 and Assassin’s Creed 3. “This is a passion project for our team, many of whom came from larger companies including Ubisoft, Eidos and WB Games to embark on this indie game adventure with us,” Schneider said in a statement, so let’s hope that passion shows through on the final product.

Journey To The Savage Planet is being billed as a first-person adventure game with a twist. Where other games in the genre tend towards much darker, depressing and dangerous settings, this game is going for a much more lighthearted approach. The game has a pretty cheeky setup, with the player placed into the role of a peon working for a cut-rate space exploration company that would make Elon Musk look like God herself.

Kindred Aerospace, which is the company you’re working for, looks to have really low standards, and things aren’t going well for you as you explore a beautiful alien world. But let’s be honest, you’ll probably be eaten by some carnivorous plant in the first five minutes, but at least it will be a fun five minutes.

Journey To The Savage Planet will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime in 2019
