How to increase inventory slots in Darkest Dungeon 2

Darkest Dungeon 2 Guides

In a rouge-lite game like this, players need to make choices about how they spend their various resources. You start the game with 16 slots that you can carry items in, although some items have different inventory types. Managing your inventory is a good idea. Most veteran players are likely to just hold onto the most powerful or useful items. But most players will at least try to get more space. Here’s our guide to help you increase inventory slots in Darkest Dungeon 2.

Your inventory slots in Darkest Dungeon 2 are affected by a few specific upgrades. One of the Stagecoach upgrades you can get gives you a bonus +4 to your inventory. It’s a good idea to get your hands on that upgrade ASAP. To get the Stagecoach upgrades, open the Wainwright at the Inn at the end of a run. You can buy enough upgrades here to get 16 more slots.

You can also find the upgrade for inventory space as a buyable item from the Provisioner. You will want to spend Relics on these upgrades if you find them.

The game makes it a very difficult choice to decide what items to buy and use. With all of the locations that randomly spawn in the game’s runs to the Inn, players have a lot of choices to make. As just one example, you might have to stop by the Field Hospital to heal up and grab some new items.
