How to get and use Monotite in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis

How to get an Auxiliary Partner in Phantasy Star Online 2

Monotite in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is one of the new minable resources added in the expansion. The new rock nodes can be mined for a basic resource useful in crafting and other basic tasks. It’s not an incredibly valuable drop, but it will be useful since it’s so new. It spawns with a very distinctive bright red color, so look out for that. Here are some more details about where to find

How to find and farm Monotite in PSO2 New Genesis

It’s a very common drop, so it’s not hard to find. Monotite can literally be found all over the place, in many sectors of planet Halpha.

The best place to look seems to be in rocky areas in and around Central Aelio. You need to run along the borders of the zone to find it. It will spawn randomly in various locations, but there seem to be zones around the border of Central Aelio where it is most common. The best route is to run along the border between Central Aelio and the Resol Forest and look for the nodes. So just run along the borders of Central, North and West Aelio in a circle until you find it.

The Monotite nodes will respawn in a new area each time they’re mined, so you will not be able to run the same route every time. And since the respawn time is currently unknown, it can be hard to predict when the next node pops. Just keep at it, thankfully it’s not a very rare spawn, which makes it easier.

This is also a good time to grab rarer drops—like Trinites and Photon Chunks—when you see them, as they can sell for a lot more.

Players will likely be selling the resource through their shops, so check with your favorite vendors to see their stock. Aside from that, you can also get some from quest rewards. The Monotite can be traded in the plaza for N-Grinders and other basic items when you have it.
