New Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer released at The Game Awards

Final Fantasy VII Remake

During tonight’s Video Game Awards 2019, Geoff Keighley and co. have lined up a ton of announcements and trailers. The efforts to turn TGA into the Oscars for gaming are ongoing, and still have a ways to go, but it feels like the idea of using announcements big and small to draw eyeballs is working. Now, another exclusive reveal has some new footage of the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake.

The new trailer shows all the fan-favorite members of the AVALANCHE crew in action. We see Tifa, Aerith, Barret, and more at some point. All of them look pretty awesome. The cutscenes shown in the new trailer also reflect some recognizable story elements that will play out across the series of PS4 titles.

Previous trailers have shown off other characters and gameplay elements. For example, players will get to battle through that early sewer level and the slimy Abzu boss at one point in the first part. And yes, if you didn’t know, the Final Fantasy VII Remake will be split into multiple parts. Also, if you didn’t know, the first chapter, and possibly the later ones too, will be exclusive to the PS4 for the first year they are on other market.
