The newest big quest in Destiny 2 is the new Growth Quest. The new quest is key to unlocking the new Trace Rifle and it’s pretty sick. It’s one of those items that pretty much everyone seems to want. So now is the time to head over the details and earn the Ruinous Effigy Exotic Trace Rifle. The Darkness Pyramids are coming to invade, and you’re going to need to be prepared. So you will want to grab this powerful weapon before it’s pushed into the vault There are a few different steps to completing this, so let’s run through them here.
The Pendulum step is broken up into two parts. For the first part, you need to collect 25 Calcified Light Fragments on Io, Titan, Mars, and Mercury. You need to head to each of these planets and hunt the Fragments down. We created a guide on how to do this, but it’s pretty basic. Just go around and pull out your Ghost in each area on the map to find the 25 Fragments.
The next step is technically another gathering quest of sorts, but it’s at least a little more active. The final step involves taking down 15 Savathun’s Marionettes on Io and Titan. These mini-bosses spawn during the new wave of Contact events, but you need to head to a different area. According to our guide on hunting Savathun’s Marionettes, you need to head around and find some Blights, and when you destroy them, Taken bosses will spawn. Kill them, then a Champion will spawn. This is the Marionette. Kill these in enough volume to complete the quest step.
