Star Citizen: Around the Verse – Can You Hear Me Now?
Cloud Imperium Games have released another weekly update for Star Citizen with a new Around the Verse. The segment leads off with Sandi Gardiner and Eric Kieron Davis talking in depth about the work being done on the sounds and immersion for Star Citizen, before handing it off to other members of the team. CIG is working on implementing a new sound focus system that will allow players to focus in on specific sound sources during gameplay. This is useful for a variety of things, like talking to NPCs, but can also aid immersion for players if it’s used environmentally.
The team is also working on other aspects of immersion as well. Senior System Designer Andre Beccu talks fans through the process of creating, rendering and managing AI starship traffic in-game.
To see more Star Citizen news, check out some of the other Around the Verse videos, or maybe you want to see some Squadron 42 gameplay. CIG has also responded to ongoing player outbursts over “Pay-to-Win” currency systems, and finally, you should see some really cool ships being build to Star Citizen.
