The Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 Week 1 challenges are here. The storylines continue to get weird. And it looks like whatever was behind the spire and the Zero Point has been contained. Or maybe it wasn’t. The 1st week of Chapter 2 Season 7 has changed a fair bit about the map, so it will take some time to get used to. The spire at the center of the map is gone, as is the Zero Point. And along with all that, comes some new stuff to find as well. Gamers also got a new Battle Pass.
The main use for Alien Artifacts in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 is to alter the appearance of the Kymera skin from the Battle Pass. When you spot one, they will look like a purple canister that has a very sinister look to it. Walk over and interact with each container as you find it to collect the Alien Artifacts.
Also, you may find purple diamonds floating around all over the map. These are called Cosmic Chests and need to be broken open with a harvesting tool. These only appear in Squads, and only sometimes contain the Alien Artifacts. Here are all the locations we could find these items at.
Catty Corner
This POI is still there but has undergone some changes this season. There is a bit of a layout shift to this zone. You can find an Alien Artifact in the large cat-tree near Catty Corner. It is on the first level closest to the ground. If you’re entering the area from the north, the spot you’re after is to the west of the main cluster of buildings.
The Aftermath
This is the new center of the map, where the Spire used to be located last season. This spot is now called the Aftermath. You can find the Aftermath directly in the center of the map, so get moving. A lot of players will drop right on top to complete the task, so be careful as this will be a very busy area.

- Gather Stones from The Aftermath
- Accept a quest from a payphone
- Collect different types of weapons
- Upgrade weapons at upgrade benches
- Search chests at Steamy Stacks or Craggy Cliffs
- Legendary Quest – Converse with Sunny, Abstrakt, Dreamflower, Riot, or Bushranger (Step 1)
- Legendary Quest – Collect Stone from The Aftermath (Step 2)
- Legendary Quest – Collect different IO Tech weapons (Step 3)
