Final Fantasy XIV Update 4.05 Released: Adds New Raid, Artwork, Items and More

Stormblood

Today Square Enix made Final Fantasy XIV patch 4.05 available for download. While this is a minor patch, the contents are rather significant, and you can read the full patch notes here.

One of the biggest additions in this patch is the enabling of the “Savage” mode for the Omega: Deltascape Raid Dungeon. This new difficulty adds the ability for players to unlock a new Genji armor set upon completion. Player can now unlock Allagan Tomestones of Creation, this weekly tomestone currency is capped at 450 per week and obtainable via Expert roulettes, trials, raids… the usual suspects, in other words. Exchange the tomestones for gear.

We’ll also get a new mount reproducing the first boss of the Omega raid, and an adorable namazu pet. The patch also includes new Orchestrion rolls, the new Lost Canals of Uznair for players who take on full-party treasure maps, new items, new decorations, and so forth. The final major element is some minor class balance changes that bring several classes into more viable endgame states.
