Ubisoft has released the newest update for Far Cry 5, and contained within it is a pair of major new features. This Game Update 10 patch adds new modes and difficulty settings specifically.
The big focus with this update is New Game+ Mode. As one would expect from the myriad games that have this option, Far Cry 5‘s version is pretty standard. In this game New Game+ will allow you to carry over hard-earned abilities, weapons, vehicles, gear to a new game. You’ll start from the beginning in a much more difficult challenge, but the playing field is equalized by your superpowered weapons and abilities.
Far Cry 5‘s latest title update also offers an extra challenge in the shape of the Infamous difficulty setting. In this new mode, the enemies are all much tougher, have better situational awareness, and deal a lot more damage. This mode is for the most-dedicated hunter in you.
In other Far Cry 5 news, the game has had multiple DLC updates as well. There’s Hours of Darkness which takes players to dangerous jungles of Vietnam. Then there’s Lost on Mars which sends players on an extraterrestrial journey complete with aliens. The most recent DLC Dead Living Zombies places players into a separate series of high-octane action scenarios while filming a movie. All in all, there’s still lots of fun to be had in Hope County.
Far Cry 5 is available now for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
