Dragon Ball FighterZ getting Janemba as new DLC fighter

Janemba coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ as DLC

The final of this batch of DLC characters has been revealed for Dragon Ball FighterZ, the demon crime lore Janemba is coming to brawl.

This legendarily-powerful fighter is the main antagonist in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn. This was the fight in the anime property that saw the birth of iconic fusion, Gogeta. Janemba being an extremely powerful demon, was even able to take on Goku and Pikkon easily, two heroes which established their fearsome prowess throughout DBZ. Seeing the demon included in Dragon Ball FighterZ means that the meta-game is no doubt about to shift.

With other DLC fighters like Kid Goku, Jiren, Videl, Cooler and so many more in the game, there’s just so many team compositions to choose from. This all means that players are about to have a lot of fun beating the snot out of each other, digitally of course.

The newest fighter will come with 5 alternate color schemes, giving fans a choice of what look they want to take into battle. Players will also get a lobby avatar, and a “Janemba Z Stamp” as part of this deal.

And though we don’t have details on his full moveset yet, there are some details we can glean. The demonic powers he has at his disposal offer both reality-bending potential, as well as tons of snark. It will be very interesting to see how these manifest in-game.

We can expect to see more at EVO 2019 later this week. The huge fighting game extravaganza takes places in Las Vegas from Friday, Aug 2, 2019, and runs until Sunday, Aug 4, 2019. It’s very likely that Bandai Namco wants a bit of news to drop as part of the event for the players and fans looking to get the scoop on Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Dragon Ball FighterZ came out on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One in January 2018, before arriving on Nintendo Switch last September. Fans of the anime loved it for giving them a new game, and the FGC loves it for being an easy game to get into.
