Core Keeper System Requirements

Core Keeper Review

The newest underground adventure is almost here. The debut of Core Keeper in Steam Early Access has brought out a lot of hopes of a new competitor in the vein of Terraria. Players will get to adventure around a massive world of various underground biomes, taking on bosses and finding treasure. The game may still be early in development, but there’s already an expectation of excellence. That’s due to the incredibly rich lighting engine being a big draw here, the game looks impressive.

But gamers have a concern, performance. Core Keeper system requirements have been finalized, hinting at a game that demands a modern machine. Keep reading to see if your rig is up to the task of a new adventure.

Minimum System Requirements

  • CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 3.70GHz / AMD A4-4020 APU with Radeon 3.2 GHz
  • RAM: 8 GB RAM
  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 950
  • OS: Windows 10 x64

With this kind of gear, you should be able to run the game at 60 FPS with some settings turned down. You might see some slowdown to lower FPS thresholds though. Though Core Keeper  is a relatively simple game, the lighting system is pretty advanced for the genre. There’s a lot of shadows and shaders at play here, and the game looks incredible as a result. For that reason, this game could be kind of hard to run on lesser machines. Older hardware will definitely struggle to keep up with the settings cranked.

Recommended System Requirements

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-11th i5-11300H 3Ghz / AMD Ryzen 5 i5-4600H 3Ghz
  • RAM: 16 GB RAM
  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 1650
  • OS: Windows 10 x64
