Dante, Nero and friends will have one more incredible weapon to add to their arsenal in Devil May Cry 5. Capcom has announced that the Mega Buster, the legendary Mega Man weapon, will be part of the game as a usable item. Capcom has also released a new trailer showing the weapon in action.
This item was will be included with the Deluxe Edition of Devil May Cry 5, so hurry up and grab that if you want this sweet addon.
The trailer itself showcases Nero as he uses the powerful blaster in place of his typical weapon, the Devil Breakers. And in a cute little nod to the source material, while a character has the Mega Buster equipped, some of their animations for things like movement and death are identical to Mega Man. Judging from this trailer, the weapon packs some serious punch, which is exactly what one would expect, honestly.
This is far from the first time the iconic weapon has crossed over into a Capcom franchise. I remember the weapon being an easter egg in various Dead Rising games for example. And Capcom loves crossovers in general, they recently brought Devil May Cry into Monster Hunter World as well.
And some new crossover content isn’t the only DMC news we got this week either. Capcom also released the PC specs for the upcoming action game. There’s also a new gameplay trailer from TGS that shows some characters, new and old, in action against the forces of the underworld.
