Warframe deploys update Beasts of the Sanctuary

Warframe Beasts of the Sanctuary

The Beasts of the Sanctuary update is now live on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The update, which launched on PC in April, adds a new Warframe and a brand new survival mode.

The major new addition to Warframe for console players with this patch/expansion is the Sanctuary Onslaught Mode. Sanctuary Onslaught is the new wave-based survival mode playable solo or in a squad of up to four teammates. The entire adventure is timed to add a secondary layer of challenge.

Since you’re going in guns blazing into the Onslaught Mode, you’ll need some new firepower. The addon has you covered with a bevy of new weapons, each with their own stats and ideal applications. The new weaponry added are the Dartgun, Tenno Revolver Rifle, Quill Spear, Quill Syandana, Quill Alt Helmet, and the Zaw Parts.

The update even includes a variety of new enemies and playable characters. The biggest and most important of the lot is Khora. She’s the first new playable character added in 2018, and she’s pretty cool. Her whip-based weapons deal substantial damage and her companion allows for some creative offensive combinations.

Players can unlock Khora by completing the main Sanctuary quests. Check out the trailer for both the update itself and one for Khora below. There’s also some screenshots for the content down there too.

Warframe is a free-to-play third-person shooter that has a lot in common with games like Destiny. The game has been around since 2013 and is developed by Digital Extremes for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game has a rich and interesting lore backdrop, tons of character customization, and micro-transaction system that the players seem to love due to its non-intrusive mechanics.
