Guild Wars 2’s Wintersday 2022 is back next week, beginning on Dec. 13 and running through most of the month. The date will run until Jan. 3, giving players approximately three weeks to run through the various daily events and achievements. Each day, you get various achievements and rewards for completing certain tasks.
Players will also be able to get their hands on unique Black Lion items in next week’s patch. There are a few new premium items, such as the Snow Garden weapon collection.
One of the first things you should do each day is to give out Wrapped Gifts. Speak with the Charity Corps Seraph in the Crown Pavilion to purchase Rolls of Wrapping Paper. These rolls can be combined with various items earned from Wintersday activities to create Wrapped Gifts. The basic premise is that you take Wrapped Gifts and deliver them to orphans around Divinity’s Reach. This is actually one of the best ways to farm Karma in the game, as you can get more than 100,000 Karma per day by farming the runs for presents to orphans. Activities
Bell Choir Ensemble
Speak to the Bell Maestro near the Royal Terrace in Divinity’s reach to enter the Enchanted Snow Globe and take part in the bell choir ensemble! This basic rhythm game is all about timing, so get your practice in now.
Mount Racing
Race around Divinity’s Reach! You don’t need to have any mounts unlocked to take place in this race—a nearby rental service is available to rent a raptor for just 10 silver.
Snowball Mayhem
Use a unique set of snow-themed skills to defeat other players in this capture-the-flag-style game mode! Speak with the Festive Lionguard near the Royal Terrace in Divinity’s Reach to enter, then choose from three professions: supporter, heavy gunner, or scout. Score 500 points total for your team and you will win special rewards. There aren’t even any level requirements for this event.
Strike Mission: Secret Lair of the Snowmen
Squad up with 10 total level 80 players to take on a special holiday Strike, all about destroying an army of angry snowmen. It’s a great way for those that enjoy PvE to get some special loot.
Tixx’s Infinirarium
Enter Toymaker Tixx’s airship from the candy cane portal just west of the Crown Pavilion to assist the asuran craftsman in bringing holiday cheer to Tyria. Bash apart the haywire machinery and malfunctioning toys throughout the workshop with a party of up to 5 players. This Wintersday-exclusive dungeon is accessible to players of any level and will dynamically adjust your attributes to those of a level 80 player if you are below that level.
Toypocalypse
Defend the gift dolyaks from Tixx’s malfunctioning toys! Speak to the Toy Captain just south of the Crown Pavilion in Divinity’s Reach to enter this tower-defense-style game mode with a party of up to 5 players. This Wintersday-exclusive activity is accessible to players of any level and will dynamically adjust your attributes to those of a level 80 player if you are below that level.
Winter Wonderland
This is a jumping puzzle for those that want to get their alacrity on! Speak to the Festive Youth at the Crown Pavilion to enter the Winter Wonderland and take on one of three available versions of the puzzle.
