Some new Total War: Warhammer 2 gameplay has surfaced from Creative Assembly and covers the High Elves and the many units available to them. Lord Tyrion leads the High Elf forces against a horde of Lizardmen, and all the diverse forces of infantry, magic and flying phoenix are on show here.
There’s not much complex strategy beyond basic flanking and combining spell abilities here. So expect to have to figure out how to best exploit the AI opponents on your own.

This ten minute video takes the High Elves into battle against the Lizardmen led by Mazdamundi. Highlights CA want you to watch out for during the battle include:
- The noble Pheonix and its Frostheart variant: fire and ice working in perfect tandem to decimate enemy forces
- The Dragon Princes of Caledor: top-tier shock cavalry clad in dragon armour, making them immune to fire and they look badass
- The immensely-armoured Pheonix Guard: standing ready to strike down the largest beasts that the Lizardmen have to offer.
