Bandai Namco has just announced some new additions coming to Tekken 7 in a future DLC update. There are three characters in this trailer for Season Two, so let’s dig in.
First up is Anna Williams in a slick black dress, and carrying plenty of style with her in-ring moves too. We also get a peek at the drunken master that is Lei Wulong who brings a casual but deadly attitude to the game. But the real star is the Lucille-wielding lunatic that is Negan, who hails from the rotting fetid land of The Walking Dead.
The announcement was made on stage directly by big Tekken boss Katsuhiro Harada, and it got quite the pop from the fans in the audience. You can hear said fan reaction in the second video below. All the other character announcements were pretty well-received as well. Check it out.
Since Tekken 7 is one of those fighting games that attracts a wide fanbase due to it’s diverse cast of characters, it’ll be interesting to see how these new characters shake up the meta. I for one am really excited to see how Negan will put his favorite implement to use in the game. We’ll just have to wait to find out, and since we don’t have a firm release date, it could be a while until we do.
