The newest version of the now classic fighting game will get a bunch of new content in addition to the new roster entry. There will be at least  200 costumes and 34 stages added to the game at launch, making this the definitive version going forward.

Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is the latest iteration of the fighting game evolution that debuted in 2016 as the ultimate culmination of Capcom’s attempts to build the ultimate fighting game. Over the last few years Capcom has been pretty good about adding new features and content to Street Fighter V. The developer has introduced many new fighters, stages and other additions as DLC. And concerning, Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, Capcom will add a second character to the roster along with Gill. That announcement will come closer to release.

There has been some controversy over the way the company has handled said DLC. One particular sore spot was the inclusion of unskippable ads in-game, as well as a bunch of skins which were also just ads. Capcom later pulled the ads after backlash.
