SNK announced the full games lineup for both versions of the Neo Geo mini console this week. The video presentation included some other tidbits as well, mostly technical in nature. However, no price point has been revealed as of yet. SNK are reportedly working on setting a price point that “the customers will be happy with.”
The console features USB-based power, so you can run it from any number of USB battery packs, it also has HDMI output. The console will also have a dedicated button for managing saves and configuring video options, instead of fiddling with menus. Two controller ports are also included, and SNK will release dedicated pads inspired by the controllers of the Neo Geo CD, in black and white.
The retro mini console will have two different versions, the standard version will launch in the summer, and the international version will come down the line for the western market. Each version will include forty games, but there is some difference in the game lineup between versions.
