There are many different weapons you can mess around with in Destiny 2. Retraced Path is one of many new items added to the game during this holiday season. Bungie clearly wants players doing the 30th anniversary content, and is willing to hand out many new weapons to encourage that. Retraced Path is one of the new 30th Anniversary weapons, and here’s how to get your hands on the Retraced Path God Roll.
How to get the Retraced Path in Destiny 2
The best Retraced Path God Roll will depend a bit on what mode you’re playing in. The overall tenor of the tracer rifle is that it focuses on constantly being in combat to proc the main buffs. To get this gun, you need to run as many Dares of Eternity missions as you can handle, then get the Treasure Keys. These can then be used on the various chests in the game’s new zone to get various rewards. One possible drop is Retraced Path.
Retraced Path PvE God Roll
- Arrowhead Brake
- Enhanced Battery
- Genesis or Subsistence
- Golden Tricorn
Arrowhead Brake and Enhanced Battery are all but vital in this gun for most players. Scaling for better accuracy is a great boon for hitting your targets. Enhanced Battery is a vital perk slot here, as you need all the ammo you can carry. Genesis is a great option for keeping ammo filled up. If you can’t get that, another possible PvE God Roll with Retraced Path is to go for Subsistence. The former is much better though, so try and get that one. Golden Tricorn can be a great boon for when you try to keep the buffs active in PvE.
Retraced Path PvP God Roll
- Arrowhead Brake or Corkscrew Rifling or Smallbore
- Enhanced Battery
- Perpetual Motion
- Golden Tricorn or Frenzy
PvP Retraced Path builds are much harder to focus on, as the possible perks are much lighter in comparison to other weapons. This means bringing a Retraced Path into Crucible is usually a bad time. The choices you have for this god roll will be much harder to choose from in a general sense. The weapon just isn’t that strong for PvP.
Arrowhead Brake and Enhanced Battery are all but vital in this gun for most players. Scaling for better accuracy is a great boon for hitting your targets. Enhanced Battery is a vital perk slot here, as you need all the ammo you can carry. You could try with a few of the other listed options if you can’t get the Arrowhead perk to drop.
Perpetual Motion is a new perk introduced with the 30th Anniversary Event, which grants bonus stability, handling, and reload speed. It’s great for those running around a lot. Frenzy is the other option you can run with, depending on how often you plan to actually engage other foes. If you’re more of a passive support player, Golden Tricorn can work as well.
