PSVR price drop announced, and it’s permanent

PSVR

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a permanent price drop for the PlayStation VR PlayStation Camera Bundle.

The hardware bundle will now be sold at the MSRP of $299 USD/€299/34,980 yen beginning today, March 29th, down roughly $100 (or regional equivalent) from its original price point of $399 USD/€399/44,980 yen.

For those of you who haven’t picked up PS VR yet, there’s another incentive to finally pull the trigger on that purchase. The Doom VFR Bundle and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR Bundle are both affected by this price drop, making them $299.99 and $349.99, respectively.

This marks the first major price reduction on PS VR since its launch in October 2016. In total, there are approximately 300 PS VR software titles from third-party developers and publishers as well as titles from Sony-owned studios have released globally. So there’s plenty of games to choose from if you want to buy into the platform.
