Starpoint Gemini 3 is coming soon, much sooner than some fans expected, as LGM has announced this week that the sprawling space sim will be dropping into Early Access tomorrow of all days. After months in pre-alpha phase, LGM finally has more to show for the space-based title. The game is coming along, but still has a fair bit of work to be done on it, so expect the usual bugs and finagling of any Early Access release. Regardless, it’s still great to see the franchise making a comeback.
If you want to see how progress is coming along, check out some of the developer diaries from LGM Games. The company released one talking about the story of the Gemini system up to this point, teasing a much grander scale and higher stakes for this new game. Another dev diary showed off a new cast of characters that players will interact with in the new game. This newest sequel is certainly boosting up the quality of the overall experience based on what we’ve seen so far.
