We’re coming up on the fifth year of release for the PS4, and fans are pretty excited.Since the launch of the PS4 in 2013, the console has helped propel Sony to incredible new heights. The console sold one million units in 24 hours, making it the fastest-selling launch in PlayStation history. And overall, Sony has crafted the PlayStation brand into a monstrous titan of the video games industry. PlayStation has sold more than 86.1 Million hardware units, in addition to over 777.9 Million software units worldwide over the years, yes it’s that huge.
Sony is really pumping out commemorative consoles to celebrate various milestones as well. Sony first released a limited edition PS4 Pro to celebrate the 500 million units sold since the launch of the original Playstation. That’s a lot of freaking consoles. And the excellent games they’re putting out like God of War and The Last of Us have earned every bit of that success.
And now, we’ve got yet another celebratory PS4 console. The company has announced a new console bundle to celebrate five years of the PS4. In this case, the newest console bundle is a Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 PS4 bundle. The bundle includes a jet-black 1TB PS4 system, a matching DualShock 4 wireless controller, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on Blu-ray Disc. The set will retail for $299.99 and will release on November 27.
