One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 reveals gameplay for Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Sanji and more

One Piece Pirate Warriors 4

Developer partnership Koei Tecmo and Omega Force, should result in One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 being an incredibly solid Musou game, at least that is the hope of fans. And now, fans have been rewarded with a slew of different gameplay trailers and some live footage from the game. The new footage and trailers for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 at Jump Festa 2020, which was held on the weekend of December 21-22.

Each of the trailers can be found below. There is of course the main gameplay trailer for the Dramatic Log mode, which is the first real challenge in the game. The first sequence shown follows Luffy and the Straw Hats at Enies Lobby, trying to rescue Robin, and of course their usual high jinks. The second part of the main trailer, follows Kaido the towering beast of a man from the source material. And yes, he is playable in the game.

Bandai Namco also published trailers introducing Zoro, Sanji, Usopp, and Nami. Given that this is a Musou game, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 breaks each characters into their own categories with stats that reflect their power. Power, Speed, and Technic are the three main stats, with each character having their own playstyle based on their associated stats.

For those wondering, the main story of the game smashes together the Whole Cake Island arc and the Wano Country arc, with the latter of the two having an entirely new ending. So in short, this adapts some of the latest manga story elements. This is all covered in the main story mode of One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is the first One Piece Musou game since 2015, and it’s coming to all platforms, PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, on March 27, 2020. So if you are a fan of the genre, get hyped for next Spring.
