New GWENT: The Witcher Card Game trailer shows off launch gameplay
CD Projekt RED just released a new trailer GWENT: The Witcher Card Game that explains the basics, while introducing players to the dark and dreary world filled with monsters and Witchers that they’ll be fighting over.
The trailer also takes the time to explain some of the finer points of gameplay and strategy in GWENT: The Witcher Card Game. This being the multiplayer version, it’s joined by the story-driven singleplayer game, Thronebreaker. In both games, you unlock new cards via card crafting, or via randomized Kegs.
In GWENT: The Witcher Card Game, gamers clash with their friends in a best two-out-of-three match where the winner takes all, and the loser is left with nothing but their despair and a shattered army. As you play through the game, you’ll unlock new cards to powerup your army, and tons of new units will join the fray. It’s the careful but ruthless use of these units in powerful combinations with your abilities that makes the difference between victory and defeat in this card game for the ages.
The video also highlights new features and changes being introduced to the game in Homecoming — the biggest GWENT content update yet. Expect tons of new abilities, cards and strategic options.
GWENT: The Witcher Card Game launches for PC on October 23, and Xbox One and PS4 on December 4. Check out the gameplay overview trailer down below.
