Monster Hunter World: Icebrone has plenty of optional Master Rank quests. But, there’s one that requires you to bring Hot Spring stones to a vendor that is pretty hard to complete without knowing a few tricks. Completing this quest could earn you over 9,000 Zenny, which is pretty good for newer players who may not have earned a ton of cash yet.
Follow the steps given below which tells you the exact location of Hot Spring stones, and how to deliver them without too much hassle.
STEP 1: ENTER THE HOT SPRING
This quest can be started after reaching Master Rank 13. So there’s a fair bit of grinding that needs to be done first. And be warned, Master Rank has a fair amount of more challenging hunts compared to High Rank.
There are several limitations to the treasure in the steam delivery quest. First, you will only have 50 minutes to finish the quest. Second, you can only have three faints in total. So in other words, it’s just like any other hunt.
Keeping that in mind, you will need to find the shortest way to the Hot Spring and back. Here’s the fastest route:
- Select Camp 12 as your spawn point.
- Use the vines to climb up the frozen walls towards Quadrant 13.
- Equip the Ghillie Mantle next which will protect you from monsters.
- Enter the Hot Spring with steamy stones (in the southeastern portion on the map above)
Pick up one of the Hot Spring Stones you find scattered all over the spring and carry it back to Camp 5.
STEP 2: DELIVER THE STONES
Most camps will require you to crawl through a narrow passage in other to meet the vendor. You won’t be able to crawl while carrying a heavy stone, that is why Camp 5 is your only choice for delivering a stone, as it is the only camp that can be entered by climbing up vines.
- Approach the games of Camp 5.
- Look towards your right.
- You will locate and frozen wall with vines.
- Climb it up carrying a Hot Spring stone.
- Deliver the stone to a vendor.
Since you need to bring two stones for the Treasure in the Steam quest, you will have to repeat the steps twice. The quest shouldn’t take you longer than 20-30 minutes to complete if you have done everything right. If you’re having trouble, make sure to bring the Pro Transporter skill on your gear. The Kulu Ya Ku’s “Kulu Vambraces” armor piece is an easy source for this. And since you won’t be fighting anything, bringing Stealth from Tip Toe Jewels is a good idea to help with avoiding combat.
