Mando’s Bounty event is coming to cash in on Fortnite with new LTM

Mando’s Bounty LTM Begins

Cross-over events have been a thing in Fortnite for years. The  Star Wars universe in particular, has been a huge mine for Epic to pull content from. The recent pushes around bounty hunters seem like a great thing to tap into, what with all the Mandalorian hype as of late. And now, Epic is asking fans to lock and load again for a new LTM that’s coming soon.

Fortnite’s Limited-Time Modes (LTM) playlist has a ton of variety, and this new choice is no different. These modes often put extreme twists on the traditional battle royale formula, offering players a refreshing take on the game they love. In this case, you get to flee from the vision of terror that is the Mandalorian from Netflix’s hit show. The bounty hunter will be chasing players around the map and trying to take them out.

The core gameplay loop is all about taking out bounty targets. Find a bounty NPC and claim their target to earn points. The more points you earn, the better you’re odds of winning. You can also find special Bounty Pucks around the map to grab new targets as well, making the process a bit faster.

If you somehow manage to make it through an entire match, you will get a Beskar Steel victory umbrella if you win. That’s a pretty tall order with a murderous psycho after you, not to mention all the other players shooting at you. And since you don’t need to take targets alive, shoot first, and ask questions later.

Check out Mando’s Bounty in the trailer below.

The new mode will feature the full map from the base game, with all the typical loot drops and guns you would normally find. And aside from the Mando NPC, all the other hostile NPCs will also be active all over the map. You’re in for a rather tough fight.

You can get into the event at any time, as it’s live now. The new Mando’s Bounty LTM is available from Feb. 2 to Feb. 9 at 9 a.m. EST.
