Yakuza games are a huge hit with those gamers that enjoy a rich and biting character action game with tons of charm and absurd plots. And with the spin-off Judgment, things went in a much more sinister direction. And it would seem that the detective adventure isn’t over yet. Lost Judgment, the sequel to Yakuza spin-off Judgment, has been confirmed, releasing worldwide this September on Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
A current-gen edition of Judgment, titled Judgment Remastered, released on April 23 for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Along with that listing, came some very interesting leaks. With a big focus on performance and improve visuals, the new version takes much better advantage of the power of the new consoles That’s great news for fans who were waiting to get a new game to play on their shiny new console. But the real good news was the reveal of a leaked listing for a sequel. The PSN listing revealed a fair bit about the new game.
Rumors are now spreading about a major reveal of Lost Judgment, and plot details have been leaked. Lost Judgment takes place two years after the events of the first game, with a big batch of new ideas carrying on from the inventive spin-off. Takayuki Yagamai returns to head the story, with many of the side activities from the first game coming back in some form as well. Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi and producer Kazuki Hosokawa have also revealed that the game’s focus will remain in action, it won’t delve too deeply into a slow-burn detective game.
When is the Lost Judgment Release Date?
Lost Judgment releases worldwide on September 24 for Xbox and PlayStation consoles, but with no confirmation of a PC port, fans on the PC side might be out of luck. There may be a glimmer of hope though, as there may be plans in the background we haven’t hear about yet. As for the console release, we know as much as we do thanks to various leaks from PSN. The biggest takeaway is that the game is coming in September.
The game will release on PS5 and Xbox Series X via an early access plan. There are also plans for various editions of the game. Lost Judgment‘s Deluxe Digital Edition will release ahead of the basic version. Those who buy into this version get it a bit earlier on September 21, 2021. The basic version of Lost Judgment will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One on September 24, 2021.
