Jump Force adds Pegasus Seiya, Dragon Shiryu from Saint Seiya

JUMP FORCE - Saint Seiya Character Trailer

Bandai Namco has announced even more characters that are to be included in the roster for Jump Force.

The newest characters are two iconic fighters from Saint Seiya. Bandai Namco released the following description alongside a new gameplay trailer:

Appearing in iconic manga series Saint Seiya, Seiya and Shiryu are members of the Knights of the Zodiac, a group of handpicked warriors that have pledged to protect justice and peace across the world. Pegasus Seiya is the Saint of the Pegasus constellation – famous for his unbending resolve and unbreakable mind. When in dire need, Seiya can call upon the power of the Gold Cloth of Sagittarius, increasing his strength to its ultimate limit.

The second playable character from Saint Seiya is Dragon Shiryu. Protected by the Dragon constellation, he is one of the calmest and most composed of all Saints. He is also one of the few Bronze Saints deemed worthy enough to wear the Gold Cloth. When needed, he can summon great strength from the Libra Cloth using its many weapons to defeat his foes.

The upcoming anime-heavy fighting game will feature characters from the likes of Dragon Ball, One Piece, Death Note and Yu-Gi-Oh!, among many more. If you want to check out more of the characters and stages in the game, there’s plenty to gawk at in other trailers. During TGS 2018, characters from Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter X Hunter were revealed. Yugi Moto from Yu-Gi-Oh! was the most recent addition to be unveiled after that. There’s also some gameplay showing some non-playable characters, as well as details about the Collector’s Edition that will be part of the physical release.

And those are just the beginning. Naruto, Goku, Blackbeard, Hisoka, Gon, Ichigo and many more will join in the fray over the course of the game.

Jump Force is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in February 2019. A closed beta will run from October 12 to 14. Check out the trailer for these new fighters down below.
