Dreams for PS4 goes gold, coming this Valentine’s Day
Dreams is quite the unique game. It’s not even technically a game. Dreams is actually more in line with the likes of Little Big Planet or Super Mario Maker 2 as games. Dreams is a game game creation toolset within a whimsical world. Since it was first announced and launched into Early Access, the game has also grown quite a bit. Since April 2019, the developers have added a ton of new assets, textures, mechanics and other elements to the suite. Now, the team has announced that the game is feature complete, and will be debuting its final form soon.
“We’ve been so impressed by everything our incredible Early Access players have done. We’ve watched people grow into fully-fledged artists, designers, musicians and more. There have been creations we didn’t think possible (and some we’re still convinced are magic),” said Abbie Heppe, communications manager for Media Molecule.
Fans and critics alike have praised the game for the amount of creative freedom it offers. “The game allows so much that it’s going to take time for people to get around to be able to create what they want,” said Shuhei Yoshida. “We are super focused on talking to people who have created… to give feedback to Media Molecule’s team.” And judging by the celebratory tweet the team put out, they’re very happy with the game too.
