How to join in on Kapp’n’s songs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

How to go on an island tour with Kapp’n in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ 2.0 update has dropped a full 2 days early, as Nintendo let Christmas come early. There are so many little things to learn about this new update. You can start cooking your own meals, even growing your own food. New decoration options like accent walls add more options for interiors. There’s just so much to talk about.

One of the alterations to existing content is the island tours. This will work in tandem with Dodo Airlines, but as a cheaper option. For 1,000 Nook Miles, Kapp’n will now ferry you to a remote island once per day, This is half the price of the airline, so it’s a good deal. And you even need to use these mystery islands to find Brewster and open up the café.

Kapp’n’s songs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons are one of the minor little treats in the new update. You will find him in the same spot during the day, right off your boat pier. When you hop onto his boat, he sometimes starts singing.

There are a few different controls you can use while sailing to and from the mystery island. By pressing one of the Y, X, and A buttons, you get a certain reaction.  The A button allows you to clap along with the beat of the song. The Y button triggers a surprising reaction, allowing you to embellish Kapp’n’s efforts. You can also laugh with the X button if you want. Whatever option you choose is up to you.

Whatever buttons you press don’t affect the song in any way, at least from what we can see. But still, it’s nice for Nintendo to include little details like this.
